This place was a hidden jewel, a treasure worth clambering over and scraping my knees on boulders, losing thongs in thick mud as I waded past shallow billabongs. Besides a handful of boomers with their tour guide, the place was empty. With fear of crocs taking hold, the older folk watched me float and dive down into what they pictured to be the end; only to resurface grinning knowing I was indulging in a beauty they would reserve for watching.
